Amazon Xero integration
Connect Amazon Seller Central to Xero and turn every settlement into one clean, VAT-accurate invoice that reconciles to your bank deposit.
Last updated: 19 September 2026
In short: TrueBooks is an Amazon Xero integration that reads each Amazon settlement report through Amazon's official Selling Partner API, classifies every line — sales, fees, refunds, advertising, storage and VAT — and posts one invoice per settlement to Xero. The invoice total matches the payout Amazon sends to your bank, so reconciling it in Xero is a single click. It is built for UK sellers, from £9.99/month + VAT, with a 30-day free trial.
Amazon pays sellers roughly every 14 days as one lump sum. Behind that single number sit hundreds or thousands of transactions: product sales, shipping charges, promotional discounts, refunds, FBA fulfilment fees, storage fees, advertising, seller commission and, for many UK sellers, VAT that Amazon has collected on your behalf. Xero's bank feed only sees the total. Without the detail you can't see your real margins, and you can't fill in a correct VAT return.
An Amazon to Xero integration fills that gap. It pulls the settlement report that explains the payout and posts the detail into Xero so your profit and loss, balance sheet and VAT return are all correct.
UK Amazon VAT is where most generic integrations go wrong. TrueBooks handles:
| In Xero | With TrueBooks |
|---|---|
| Sales invoice per settlement | Yes — authorised, referenced to the Amazon settlement ID |
| Separate fee lines | FBA, storage, advertising, commission, closing fees and more |
| Correct UK tax codes | Standard, zero-rated, reverse charge and no-VAT lines applied automatically |
| Bank reconciliation | Invoice total equals the Amazon deposit |
| Multi-marketplace | Each marketplace posted in its own currency |
| Negative settlements | Posted as a bill when Amazon takes money from you |
| Undo | Roll back and repost any settlement |
If you already use A2X or Link My Books, TrueBooks' migration tool finds the settlements your old tool posted to Xero and marks them as done, so nothing is posted twice. See TrueBooks vs A2X and TrueBooks vs Link My Books for an honest comparison of the options.
TrueBooks is priced by monthly Amazon order volume, from £9.99/month + VAT for up to 200 orders. Most sellers pay £15–25 a month. There is a 30-day free trial and no minimum term. See the full table on the pricing page.

No. Xero's bank feed shows the lump-sum payout Amazon deposits into your account, but not the sales, fees, refunds and VAT inside it. To get that detail into Xero you need a connector app — such as TrueBooks, A2X or Link My Books — that reads Amazon's settlement reports and posts them to Xero.
With TrueBooks: start a free trial, click Connect Amazon and approve access in Seller Central, then click Connect Xero and choose your organisation. Both use official OAuth sign-ins, so you never handle API keys. TrueBooks then imports your settlements and shows each one for review before posting.
One authorised sales invoice per Amazon settlement, with separate lines for sales, shipping, promotions, refunds, FBA fees, storage, advertising, seller fees and reimbursements — each on the right account and UK tax code. The invoice total equals the deposit, so it matches in Xero's bank reconciliation in one click.
All Amazon storefronts across Europe, North America and the Far East that report through Seller Central settlement files, including Amazon.co.uk, Amazon.de and Amazon.com. Each marketplace is kept separate and posted in its own currency.
Yes. Any settlement can be rolled back, which voids the Xero invoice, and reposted. Nothing is posted automatically unless you switch on Auto Post.
