Last updated: 4 November 2026

In brief: Amazon Remote Fulfilment fees in 2026 are the per-unit charges for selling UK-stored FBA stock to buyers on Amazon's EU stores, without sending stock to the EU. Its older name was the UK-EU European Fulfilment Network (EFN). Rates from the UK to Germany, France, Italy or Spain start at €4.86 for a light envelope. Parcel rates rise between 15 October 2026 and 14 January 2027, and an item can't be priced above €150 in an EU store.

The peak column covers orders from 15 October 2026 until 14 January 2027. Envelopes and oversize items cost the same in peak on the UK to EU route. The rate card lists every weight band, plus rates to Sweden in kronor. Products that contain lithium batteries or count as dangerous goods carry an extra 10 cents (€0.10) a unit.

Amazon can change these rates on 30 days' notice if the pound moves more than 5% against the euro over a month, quarter or year. The rates also leave out the fuel and logistics surcharge, which the rate card applies on top of UK and EU store FBA fulfilment fees. It went up from 1.5% to 2% on 2 November 2026.

How Remote Fulfilment works

  • Who can use it: sellers with UK and EU Seller Central accounts, active FBA offers in both, and stock in a local fulfilment centre.
  • Price limit: an eligible item must cost no more than €150 in an EU store, or £135 in the UK store.
  • Import charges: the buyer pays import fees and duties. Since 1 July 2026 Amazon adds the EU's €3 duty per item to the price the buyer sees for these products. From 1 November 2026 it does the same with the EU's €2 customs handling fee.
  • VAT: Amazon says you generally don't need a VAT registration in the destination country.
  • Fees: your Professional subscription is paid only where you first registered. The referral fee follows the store where the item sold.
  • Returns: returned items go back to your fulfilment centre and the usual returns processing fee applies.

If you also hold stock in the EU, Amazon ships from that local stock first and charges the local fee. Remote Fulfilment fees apply once local stock runs out.

A worked example

Illustrative figures, before the fuel surcharge. A UK seller sells 300 units a month of a 350 g small-parcel item on Amazon.de, shipped from UK stock.

  • Normal rate: 300 × €6.62 = €1,986 a month.
  • Peak rate: 300 × €7.07 = €2,121 a month.
  • Extra cost in each peak month: €2,121 − €1,986 = €135.

The fee is in euros, so its cost in pounds moves with the exchange rate.

What it means for your bookkeeping

  • Each store settles separately. Sales on Amazon.de appear in your EU settlement in euros, with the Remote Fulfilment fee alongside. Keep the euro settlement in euros in Xero and let the exchange difference fall out when the money is paid.
  • The goods leave the UK. Agree the UK VAT treatment of these sales, and the export evidence you need to keep, with your accountant. Our zero-rated and standard-rated sales guide explains the difference.
  • VAT on the fee. Take the VAT treatment of each fee from Amazon's invoice. Don't assume a UK rate on an EU store fee.
  • EU customs charges sit in the buyer's price. Amazon adds the €3 duty and the €2 handling fee on top of your listed price. EU buyers pay more than the figure you set. Amazon says neither is an Amazon fee. Check any repricing rules you use. Compare with UK FBA fulfilment fees for domestic orders.
