Amazon's 2025 UK Holiday Peak Fulfilment Fee

In brief: for the 2025 festive season Amazon added a holiday peak fulfilment fee to FBA orders delivered to UK customers between 15 October 2025 and 14 January 2026. Amazon put the average at 10p for each parcel-sized unit and 5p for each unit in a large or extra-large envelope, and ran a similar fee on deliveries in Germany. Amazon compared it to the seasonal surcharges major carriers apply.

How it compares with 2026

For 2026 Amazon repeated the fee over the same dates at a higher UK average (about 12p per parcel) — see peak season 2026 fees. Year-on-year, expect Q4 fulfilment costs to rise even if your volumes stay flat.

A worked example

A seller sends 6,000 standard parcels to UK customers from mid-October to mid-January. At the 10p average, the peak fee adds roughly £600 to the season's FBA costs. Envelope-sized products add half as much per unit.

What it means for your bookkeeping

• It's a fulfilment cost. Post it to your FBA fees account alongside the normal fulfilment fee. For UK sellers it carries 20% UK VAT, reclaimable if you're VAT-registered.

• Q4 margins dip on paper. The fee runs across the October–January period, so fulfilment cost per unit steps up in mid-October and down in mid-January. Note it before comparing quarters.

• It spans a year end. Sellers with a December or 31 January year end have peak fees on both sides of the cut-off; settlements that cross the date need splitting by date, not lumping into one period.

• Budget it next to deal fees. Peak fees and event deal fees land in the same weeks, so look at them together when judging whether Q4 promotions paid off.
