Amazon Business: Fee Discounts on Bulk B2B Orders

Announced by Amazon on 24 September and 1 October 2025. Both discounts depend on offering business customers a lower price.

Last updated: 19 September 2026

In brief: Amazon introduced two discounts for sellers who sell to Amazon Business customers in bulk: lower FBA fulfilment fees on multi-unit business orders (from 24 September 2025) and lower referral fees on bulk business orders (from 1 October 2025). To qualify, you set a business price or a quantity discount at least 3% below your standard price.

How to qualify

Amazon publishes the exact discount rates on its Amazon Business fee pages in Seller Central; check them against your own products before deciding.

Does it pay?

You're trading a lower price for lower fees and, typically, bigger orders. A simple way to test it for one product:

  1. Work out the 3% (or larger) price reduction on a typical business order.
  2. Work out the referral and FBA fees you'd save on that order at Amazon's discounted rates.
  3. If the fee saving plus any extra volume outweighs the price reduction, it's worth offering.

Products with high referral fees and multi-unit orders benefit most; single-unit, low-fee products least.

What it means for your bookkeeping

  • Business orders sit in the same settlements. Amazon Business sales, and their lower fees, arrive alongside your normal orders — there's no separate payout.
  • VAT invoices matter to business buyers. Business customers usually need a proper VAT invoice to reclaim VAT. Amazon's VAT Calculation Service can issue them for you; note its calculation for Amazon Business orders changed in June 2026 — see VCS moves to per-shipment VAT.
  • Measure B2B margin on its own. The price reduction lowers sales; the fee discount lowers costs. Looking at both together tells you whether the business channel is actually more profitable.

Discounted fees appear per order in the settlement, so check a few B2B orders when you reconcile a settlement.
